1. Not sure if it is needed in essay part (b) and data response part (d). Please advise.
2. I get this comment that I do not consider the implications in my essay a lot, so could someone please point me in the right direction? A general idea on what they want is good. But if you really really want to help, I'm doing To what extent is truth different in mathematics, the arts and ethics? Thanks in advance!
3. What he said really makes sense Well, I did my EE on vitamin C, so thats a pretty biochem area. Got a 27/36 for the draft, and will probably be predicted A by the end of it. So it is possible if you work really hard
4. If you like sleep deprivation and continuous stress, take it! IB seems easy at the start, especially when the pitch the idea...but once you're in, be prepared for skipping meals and sleep to hand in all the assignments (graded ones I mean) But that's only from the Singapore (can't mention the school lest I get expelled) side, don't know how it goes elsewhere.
5. Oh my goodness!! Haha just make sure you don't get hooked on it and ignore IB! WoW is the most addictive game in the world!
6. I think if you approach it using perception and logic, it would seem like you're doing question 7. I personally didn't focus on perception very much.

Chem EE

Comparison probably, but it sounds pretty simple. It would help if you define your research question more clearly for us? Creating it - how? This one sounds more interesting, but make sure you have quantitative methods of testing what you create.
8. It is ok to do a biochem EE. You just need to skew it to chemistry. For example, if it's on enzymes, talk about catalysts, activation energy, mechanism of reaction and such, not on the biological function of enzymes. Of course, your EE will go into at least a little of biology, but hey, isn't there an option in chemistry called biochemistry? Food science is also part of biochemistry!
9. Since that other topic is dead, I have to post here. For question 6 part 2, are they asking how long it takes to recover when the medicine is administered at the latest possible time? or when?
10. I'm doing on aggregate demand and unemployment in a recession. Any tips on what I can evaluate on? Just points, I don't need full answers or anything (that would be cheating^^ Thanks:D
11. Will I be penalized if I use a very very common topic? My current one is on the effect of temperature on vitamin c content. Also, can someone suggest how I can regulate the temperature over a span of 2 weeks?
12. Perhaps do some research on the books, and if it suits the criteria, go ahead. It shouldn't take much time going onto google. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevgeny_Zamyatin has a nice article linking both books, try to read it before deciding.
13. I've heard of people taking 4 HLs and 2 SLs, but none taking 2HLs and 4 SLs. But I think the bare minimum is 3 HLs and 3 SLs. Shouldn't you just take three HLs this year? I've seen many people who had to drop the subject to standard level and take another higher level because they failed their exams, and let me tell you, it is really hard. Especially in the sciences, where you must actually do make up practicals for those you missed in HL. But thats for my school, so I hope you wont have to do the same.
14. the ethical issue i am discussing is on whether performance enhancing drugs should be legalized. my knowledge claims are that: a) performance enhancing drugs give an unfair advantage b) performance enhancing drugs are harmful to health my counter claims are that: a) genetic makeup gives some people an advantage by chance, and technology provides undetectable drugs and better training programmes to give an unfair advantage as well b) We should permit drugs that are safe, and continue to ban and monitor drugs that are unsafe. Provided that a drug is safe, it is unfair to the honest athletes that they have to miss out on an advantage that the cheaters enjoy how do i link my claims to the use of reason and emotion in this ethical issue? Can I use quotes to justify my claims? this is for a theory of knowledge presentation. many thanks.
