  1. I was wondering if anyone was interested in applying for Medentry (UMAT) in Melbourne. The group discount is $590, and normal package is $820. Email me @ _______
  2. Hi fellow survivors, Is Uncle Vanya an easy book to write on? Thank you very much!
  3. I have to do a report on Chekhov and how he uses staging+ other literary devices to explore the idea of estrangement in Uncle Vanya. Can someone please give me a few ideas as to how i should write this? Thank you so much!
  4. I heard there is something called a 'premedical' year which is a different course, but it just adds one extra year onto your university course?
  5. I'm thinking of applying for one, because honestly i have no idea what is on the test! Apparently theres one section where it gives a picture, and you are meant to determine what the person in the picture is feeling... Now how would you do that...
  6. Hi Survivors, I was wondering if any of you have attended any UMAT Study Courses. I wish to know if they are helpful, and is indeed worth the price i am paying (i heard most expensive can be up to $2000). If any of you have attended, would you please leave a note with a link to the course that you studied? I wish to do Medicine, with a possibility in Monash University, so i need a outstanding UMAT Score to get in. Thanks all in advance for your help! Evan
  7. Hey fellow Survivors, I wish to study medicine in Europe, however, i am unaccustomed to what they require. I searched many top Universities in the UK, and they all seemed to need a HL in Chemistry (compulsory) and HL in either Bio, Phy or Maths. Here are the Subjects that i have applied for the coming exam (November, I'm Aussie): HL Geography HL Music HL Chemistry SL Maths SL English SL Chinese With these subjects, what UK University can i get into? Also, are the prerequisites final or are they just a guide? Thank you for your help all! Evan
  8. Hey fellow Survivors, I wish to study medicine in America, however, i am unaccustomed to what they require. I searched many top Universities in the US, and they all seemed to need a HL in Chemistry (compulsory) and HL in either Bio, Phy or Maths. Here are the Subjects that i have applied for the coming exam (November, I'm Aussie): HL Geography HL Music HL Chemistry SL Maths SL English SL Chinese With these subjects, what American University can i get into? Also, are the prerequisites final or are they just a guide? Thank you for your help all! Evan
  9. Thanks for all your detailed replies. The university im looking at only offers Biomed. I'm only just beginning to understand University courses, so please do not blame me for this. Is Biology still a necessity in this course?
  10. I heard that Biology was a prerequisite in Medicine, but when i look at local (Australia) Universities, it was not needed. Then i looked at the top universities for medicine and it is. After asking around, and the careers people at school, i was told that Biology will not be needed as a prerequisite in any university by the time i graduate (2013). Is this true? What are the benefits of Doing HL Biology? I am also doing HL Chemistry at the moment, and from what i have been told by higher year levels, it is near impossible to get both 7's in both of these subjects. What are your thoughts on this? Apparently, doing HL Biology, and getting a 6/7 in it means that in certain universities, you have completed your first year of Biology. Is it really worth this when you also have HL Chemistry with it? Thanks.
  11. Ah. Thanks for the general overview. HL Maths is definately not worth it now. It doesnt even get you into that many courses.
  12. I am having trouble deciding which one is more suitable for me. We just had a few classes in Biology, and already it seems that drawing the structure of bacteria is hard. I did very well in Biology in year 10. Music: I have been playing music for around 12 years now. Both Piano and Saxophone is at grade 8 (AMEB), and theory i have completed to grade 5. All of these were done around 3 years ago. The one part i dislike about HL music is the composition. I have heard that there are many other things apart from actually composing. Is this true? I enter into a lot of competitions for both the instruments, and have come out with many outstanding results. This should mean that the performance part of music is covered. Notes: It takes a lot of effort for me to memorise something. What are the possible university paths for either of these? Thanks for your help.
  13. Everyone at school seems to say that HL Mathematics is near impossible. My teachers tell me that i really need to love maths to be able to have a chance of getting above a 5 int his subject. What are your thoughts?
