  1. I am returning back here after a long time to seek some advice. I am looking for universities with a 3.2 GPA (American) that offer scholarships to EU nationals. Anyone in a similar position or has been studying/studied with a great program that they'd recommend? Cheers!

    ib courses

Econ HL was easy when i did my IB and so was Physics HL but i'd say that def go with Econ HL...If you love physics ONLY then go with physics HL. I think history HL may be harder than Physics HL so you can switch history for physics... To be honest it really depends on you! For me I hated learning dates and stuff by heart (still do ) so i never took any lengthy subject like history, bio, chem... My HL were: Physics, Econ, Geography SL: Maths, English L&Lit, French B

    IB in my school

My opinion: I have been to such school but luckily I had other schools nearby that I could transfer to, and i did. I may hurt your feelings here by saying that what you are taught at school, specially in IB, only contributes to 20% of your overall learning. If you think that your teachers are incompetent enough then you need to study more at home. Your brain is finding a reason to put the blame on teachers for you to get away with bad grades but it's up to you and you only. I wish you all the best with your courses. We can help you with your assignments as much as we can but you just got to spend more time studying on your own. There's a saying which says that "not everyone is born with a golden spoon in their mouth" which kind of applies here as you have tough luck having bad teachers but you have to over that up by studying more on your own.
  5. I'd say that you should head towards khan academy (google it) and go through their videos on the topics. It's better to "know" the concept than learning things by heart. Trust me!

    Done.
  7. That's an interesting topic yet very hard to justify your opinion. I would just say that multiculturalism isn't just useful for a nation but also healthy. Yes it brings pain for the locals but brings much more prosperity for the nation as a whole, in terms of skills, workforce and i can't think of anything else on top of my head. I'd like to see others' opinions and i'll edit this as I come up with more points.
  8. Problem with this issue is that copyrighting something that is already being used by many and has been used by many in the past. If you copyright a company making softwares for PCs and call it "microsoft" and copyright the name then it makes sense but trying to get copyrights of something that has been there on the internet, maybe hidden and not as popular as react videos by FineBros. They tried to act clever in my opinion by expanding their business while taking advantage from franchising but google isn't being run by kids.
  9. That video looks so fake to me. Or maybe because I believe that death is the most painful experience no matter what? That looks like a sleeping pill or something LOL I don't know which one you watched, I watched the French woman, with a bone disease. It looked pretty realistic actually... I felt bad afterwards :/ I watched that one..but its crazy...

    Improving IB Grades

On the topic of IAs. Never ever ever ever do your IA in subjects like Physics. I did, I failed, I cried. You should try to read the gradin criteria for each subject before actually selecting the subject you want to do the IA in. In physics, they grade your "evaluation part" as well which i didn't know about and I lost a LOT of marks in that section. You have to do IAs for every single subject Did you do the full IB diploma? When you make mistakes like this, you know that you're getting old. I mixed up Extended Essay with IA. Apologies. I was talking about the Extended Essay! IAs, yes! That's the easiest way to bump your grade up. Haha, You passed your exams in May 2013, you're not that old haha. Let's just say it's easily forgotten The lemons you get in life after IB, makes you forget about the past

    Are You a Feminist?

I'd appreciate if you can kindly define "Equality" for me! Well.. In my opinion, equality is, in this case (gender equality) the "idea" (Sorry, I don't know how to phrase this) that men and women have the same rights Why'd you ask? Yeah sorry for not mentioning before...I just edited my post up there! That's quite a general statement in my opinion, having "equal rights" Owww, right. Yeah yeah I totally agree I was referring to the fact that people confuse equity for equality. What we need is Equity and not Equality. Equality would mean that women having a 3 week maternal learn for example would mean that men should also have a 3 week holiday whereas equity can mean completely different thing in this example and can be very hard to work with.
