My daughter finished the IB program in Canada. For her, this program was a mistake to be taken. We were so happy 4 years ago that she made it in, and so disappointed now to see that she cannot attend the university that she would like. The IB program is maybe suitable for the students in other countries, but for the Canadian students, competing with the non-IB students, for a place in university, this is total non-sense to attend this program. The teachers (talking about Mississauga now) are way under-prepared for such a program. The Calculus Option was tough very fast, in only a few weeks. Exam preparation was close to none. The teacher preferred to skip school (even though he was paid) instead of giving students more opportunity to solve more calculus problems. If my daughter would not have been attended IB, I am very confident that right now I would be happier.
