  1. Hi there! You are doing a great job since most of you were in lock down due to COVID-19. I would welcome everyone to sign this petition: https://www.change.org/p/ib-make-the-international-baccalaureate-organization-ibo-to-reduce-content-for-m2021?recruiter=915042427&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=abi_gmail&utm_campaign=address_book&utm_term=280af2aecb4e45b695526ec8026a2982&recruited_by_id=16e6dd50-eae1-11e8-9d35-e3bf6fb89d7b In fact, the aim of this petition is to reduce the content of what class of 2021 students should learn in the IB. Due to online learning which seems to be ineffective for most of the students, this petition helps students to learn more efficiently. Less content means that we can have more time to focus on other work such as our IAs and it also reduces the burden. Have a nice holiday!

  4. Hello! So I'm assuming the majority of people writing and editing their EE's right now aren't having too much trouble reducing the word count, but I'm an over-writer. It might be the English Lit HL influencing me too much, or the fact that I'm really enthusiastic about my EE topic, or maybe just the fact that I get emotionally-attached to words, but I'm having a lot of problems reducing my word count without damaging my argument. As it stands, my word count is 4,943 words (including headers, the title, etc. so that might be 100 words max, though I'm pretty certain they're included in the word count) and I have no idea what to do. If anyone has faced this problem before, or may know of some way I could significantly reduce the word count, it would be phenomenally appreciated! Any questions, concerns, or needs for clarification are freely welcomed. Kind regards, A frantic IB student
  5. So my current topic questions is "What is the relationship between stress and physiological illnesses, and what can one do to reduce stress?" but it will probably be altered a bit as my EE develops. I've done a lot of research linking different types of stress and possible physiological illnesses, such as what hormones are released and what effects they have, but after I write about that, what direction should I take my essay? I read somewhere that "self-help" psychology EE's aren't a good topic...I think the "what can one do to reduce stress?" part might fall under that, so should I research more about that, or take it out completely? My EE supervisor suggested that I research about "Tiger moms"...I could also research about the different stress levels between Asian countries (especially in Korea and Japan) and the rest of the world, and how the Asian countries have a higher suicide rate among students...am I getting off tangent here? Is my topic going to be too broad? :\ My supervisor said I could structure my essay like this: explain the relationship between stress and physiological illnesses, then talk about "Tiger moms" and the like, and finally go into why this paper was important...like why researching about my topic was important or something. Kind of wrap everything up by discussing how stress should be reduced...because of Tiger moms and physiological illnesses and everything...I don't know. My thoughts are a jumble.
