My CAS coordinator informed us that we need to write 500 words per reflection but I took an insight to some reflections suggested by the IB and they only had a few sentences. So my question is, do I really need to have 500 words? Also, does CAS require efficient planning and acting upon that plan (such as holding a formal dinner for the school) or can it be something I learn in a day?
Hello there. Today we were given out reflection papers during our CAS period. I don't understand the concept of it because our coordinator didn't really go through it. Does it mean that everyday if I involve in an activity, service or action I should complete a reflection? And on my refection paper, there is a box saying "TOTAL HOURS SPENT ON THIS PROJECT UNTIL NOW." Today I engaged in traditional dancing and it was my first time trying it out so therefore what does fill inside this box? Thank you
Okay. I'm just starting to type up my CAS reflections. I have a few questions about them... First of all... Do they need to be ongoing? I mean if Im part of an after school activity, like the MUN club which they have at my school... Does my reflection on it need to be on going? Or can I just write a reflection when I go to a conference? My second question is.. What if I was unsuccessful with an activity I have done or havent really made significant progress with it.. Or just generally had an negative experience with a CAS activity I have undertaken.. Should I still write a reflection for it? My last question is.. What are some other ways I can do my reflections? Other than typing them up and recording myself? Not sure about the recording myself part because Im way better at typing things up rather than verbally saying them, but I'll work on that.
Hi! I have a quick question about the CAS reflections on ManageBac.... I have been doing a child day care CAS project where I go twice a month to teach the kids since last year June but I haven't imputed any of my reflections online on ManageBac since i have been keeping them in a little journal. So now I am in the process of transferring them on to ManageBac....but they are all going to have the wrong date since I am imputing them now and not on the correct date. Can I be denied my diploma because of this? Is this a failing condition? I am freaking out cause I was relying on just turning in or taking pictures of my reflections journal. Looking forward to replies! Thanks!
