Couple of extra sections?

I've been in the forum game for a while, ive created a few forums(which I know got rid of, to focus on school ;P), and most forums ive seen have a kind of important section at the top, with announcements, and all that. Maybe consider having one of those? Also, an introductions section for new users would be nice.

We have small announcements, but thats a good idea to make one announcement section at the top.

Thats a good idea to have a introduction to new users, prehaps a pm once they sign up or something. i think users get something like that in the email. I'll talk about it with the mods

introduction forum is a bit of a waste. I've seen one on TSR, and it's basically ' Hiii I'm new!' and ' welcomee!!'

if you want to start a thread like that go ahead in the chat forum it's what it's there for!

as for the announcements. if you go onto any forum you'll notice there are little announcements at the top which we add/remove when ever we get anything we want to announce. Having a forum specialized for it won't be as efficient as having it appear on top of every forum I think.
