hey! can some one answer this? i got a 23/30 on my Oral commentary, what would that be? a 5? thanks!

I want to say a 6 honestly. I remember getting a 21 on my practice running and being told it was a VERY high 5, so those 2 points might make it a 6. Not sure though.

English A1 HL right?

Based on IB grade boundaries 2009, the IA (oral component) for English A1 HL,

IB7: 26-30

IB6: 22-25

IB5: 18-21

IB4: 14-17

IB3: 11-13

IB2: 6-10

IB1: 0-5

So 23/30 would be an IB6, based on 2009's grade boundaries.

However, the grade boundaries do change every year unfortunately I don't have the IB grade boundaries 2008 nor 2010 so we cannot compare

Since the oral component will be an average taken between your IOP and IOC, therefore a 23 in IOC would probably correspond to a 6, but take into account that this is added with your IOP mark and divided by 2.

May 2010 Boundaries for English A1 HL:

7: 26-30

6: 22-25

5: 18-21

4: 14-17

3: 11-13

2: 6-10

1: 0-5
