Guest hellokitty818
I am practicing IOC by trying to analyze passages that my teacher gives us to practice with. But I am stuck on the first chapter of pride and prejudice and the first few pages of chapter 2 chapter for chronicle of a death foretold. I am not sure what the main idea is or what is the general statement that the author is trying to convey form that passage. Inputs would be greatly appreciated. Proletariat
The beginning of P&P is all about establishing social conventions and the norms of the Bennet family. Talk about characterization, family dynamics, social conventions, and the techniques that Austen uses to illustrate the points. Saying page numbers tells us nothing. Who knows what edition your school is using. Reply
