ShootingStars
Seems specific enough. You can elaborate though by cutting down to a few or a single symbol - is there any such symbol that is common and represents humanity in both works? Arrowhead
Symbolism is a very vast literary device in that certain symbols within books are embedded in description and others in dialogue and symbolic irony. When you pick books that are classics like these, it makes your topic very vast, it would be better if you narrowed down on a specific idea. Maybe pathetic fallacies or colour imagery or descriptive symbolism, a more focussed idea will make for deeper analysis and much better essay.Best of luck,Arrowhead.
