I want to know whats the difference between paper 1 and paper 2, in the sciences (biology, chemistry, physics)! i'm an EDEXCEL IGCSE student... I really really need help asap! Slovakov Posted June 2, 2011 Report Share Posted June 2, 2011 Paper 1 involves only multiple-choice questions, while Paper 2 consists of open-ended questions. ninety Posted June 4, 2011 Report Share Posted June 4, 2011 I sat the EDEXCEL GCSE Double Science papers but my memory of them are pretty hazy (blame IB). From what I remember, Paper 1 or 2 is the mandatory paper that all candidates must do, depending on their level (1 for foundation tier, 2 for higher tier). Paper 3 is the practical paper which assess your lab skills (e.g. questions on the experiments you did during your GCSE course, like what indicator paper to use to test for certain substances). 1 Reply Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
