Wellsy
Hi guys, I'm having trouble understanding the italian and german unification and I'm just wondering if anyone knows any good places to make notes from or to revise from? Thanks. Reply
Guest Soiboist
We used extracts from "A History of World Societies" by John P McKay, Bennett D Hill and Roger B Beck on the Italian unification and "Germany 1848-1914" by Bob Whitfield on the German unification if your school has any of them or you can find them elsewhere. If you have any specific questions I'll be happy to help you. 2 Reply
Emmi
In my class we used R.R. Palmer, Joel Colton, and Lloyd Kramer's "History of the Modern World" ninth and tenth editions as the main source. We also used several excerpts from different sources for Italy/Germany, a part of The Unification of Germany chapter from Eric Wilmot's "The Great Powers" and part of "Bismarck and German 1862-1890" by D.G. Williams for Germany. If you have trouble finding these or need something specific from it I'd be glad to help. 1 Reply
