The Fish
Hello all!So it's that time of year at my school where everyone has to pick an extended essay topic. I have picked physics for my discipline. I was thinking about a few questions related to electricity. When I was researching online I found someone else on a forum saying that they were going to do the exact same topic that I was thinking about doing. Is it still okay to use this topic, or could having the same topic as someone else be considered plagiarism? The topic is about conductivity and temperature increase with power in materials. Rigel
If you have found the title in the IB Official websites, i would then recommend you to choose another topic..But if it's from any other site, it would be fine. I would find another topic though just in case. Reply
dessskris
can you tweak it a little? by using different apparatus or method maybe... then it should be fine. at least your essay wouldn't be identical as that guy's. same topic should be fine, but if you can, form a different RQ.
