i was just wondering if i'm doing a scatter graph and there's say 3people who weigh 7st i can't do three different points on top of one another to show that there are 3 people who are 7st so do i just put one cross for all 3 people ?

Maybe just go with one cross. ;)

it depends on what relationship you are trying to show. if you just want to show the number of people who weighs __ st, a bar chart or a pie chart will do. however, if you are showing something more complicated, e.g. weight VS. height, then you may go with scatter.
