saunders is god
hey guys, I needed some help, I've drawn error bars on my graphs for my physics ia but I wasn't sure how to add the trendlines of maximum and minimum gradient? Thanks in advanced xx Reply
argetwydra
You need to draw the maximum and minimum slopes based on your error bars. Basically, find the top of error bars of the first point and connect it to the bottom of the error bars of the last point for the minimum slope and vice versa for the maximum. Hope this helps! dessskris
she's right, too bad she didn't tell you how, though.and that's what I'm doing.I hope you're using Microsoft Excel. select your plotted data points, right click on it, select data.there appears the Select Data Source dialog box. click add.add your max line's coordinates (it would be awesome if you write them on the excel sheet first so you can just select the range). click ok.click add again and add your min line's coordinates.click OK. you've added the data points. click on each and add linear trendlines for each.I hope that was clear enough. if not please ask again.
