so, I have been struggling coming up with EE topic.I have changed topics more than I can count :P ,since my chem teacher always told me that they were more related to other subjects than in chemistry..so,to make long story short,I'm thinking of doing, the effect of an oxidizing acid on metal corrosion.I need help to make it into a focused research question and also, what do you think about my topic?..Thank you :)

So here are my respones:

  1. Don't you think its too small? I mean many IB students seem to be making this mistake when choosing a topic, can you cover 4000 words in that research question!? IF you think you can then proceed. :)
  2. Second there's not much to say, so your research question will be short and sweet, like you already put it.
  3. I think its okay, I would've thought different if I knew more about oxidizing acids and if there is actually a great effect.
  4. Four, When choosing an EE, try to be on the safer side by choosing a topic which you know agrees with your hypo. So that way you not like " Do oxidizing acids affect corrosion in metals? -No, they don't*Awkward silence*...... how many words is that ? ;) I'm sure you get me.

All the best Jessica! :D

lol...thank you for your response, but like I wrote earlier, this is just a topic,it's not the research question itself,so who knows, maybe after I refine it into a research question it won't be too small as it seems...and yes,I'm trying to be on the safer side by not choosing something that is too complex
