I've got to weeks to hand in my final draft and I've changed my topic yesterday to To what extend do the immigration laws of Great Britain influence the amount of International students studying in the UK in the years 2007 to 2011?. My supervisor says it doesn't suit the criteria, but I', strongly sure it is english B section 2 (b). Please, help me to find it out.

I do not quite think that it meets the criteria. The essay is supposed to be based on a cultural artifact and the immigration law is not a cultural artifact.

Cultural artifacts include songs, advertisement, poetry, film etc.

EDIT (quotes are from the Extended Essay guideline):

"Essays of a general cultural nature must be based on specific cultural artifacts. Cultural artifacts in this

context are understood to include a wide variety of phenomena, ranging from works of fine art to

newspapers, magazines and cartoons, to films, television programmes and popular music."

"The essay should be an analysis of a cultural nature that describes the impact of a particular issue on the

form or use of the language." - Not met by your RQ.
