Definition of "Freezing point" ?

Does freezing point neccesarily mean the temp. when the substance is COMPLETELY frozen/solidified, or when the first few crystals begin to form (aka during midway/beginning of solidfying)...? Cuz I did a lab on naphthalene cooling curve, and I was wondering...

I'd like to point out that the temperature of the substance will not drop any further until the entire substance has been frozen. E.g. As the temperature of water reaches 0 degrees, the fist particles of ice will form. The temperature will remain constant at 0 degrees until all the water has frozen before proceeding onto sub-0 temperatures. Thus, to answer your question, the entire period from the first fragment of ice forming to the last liquid freezing can be considered the freezing point as this all occurs at 0 degrees Celsius.
