I'm currently taking SL chemistry but due to timetable issues and subject choices I will need to start to take HL Chem. Currently I'm getting solid 6s, will I be able to maintain this in HL? You will have to put more time into it in order to maintain high grades, but if you like chemistry - go for it! I assume that you (like me) are still in your first year of the Diploma Programme. In the exam the Sl question are pretty straight forward, however for HL, you have to understand all the concepts and sort of "guess/undesrtand" what the question is asking.
