THe role of women in SHakespeare`s day. WHat was expected from a daughter/bride?

Assuming that the question concerns the role of women in Shakespeare's day (rather than the role of women in Shakespeare's plays), you could cite Shakespeare's own wife as an example. There must have been many like Ann who played their domestic role with loyalty and courage while their husbands were away from home seeking fame and fortune. But there were certainly many other wives and daughters who suffered (or enjoyed) totally different lifestyles.

It might also be interesting for your project to note that in Shakespeare's day the most powerful person in the land was a woman :P

Also what level of English is this for - English B? It's in the wrong section of the forum and if you tell us we can move it.

A very good point. And if Parliament had had its way, she would have been a bride as well as a daughter!
