leblancj13
I have started to work on what I want to do my Extended Essay about and with the help of my EE advisor, I've discovered that I enjoy books that have an "outsider" type character because of the way they think. I read "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger in grade 9, and i enjoyed it because of this, and I also enjoyed "The Outsider" (may also be called "The Stranger") by Albert Camus and the theme is carries of existentialism. Unfortunately I can't use "The Outsider" because it was no originally written in english. I may not even actually use "The Catcher in the Rye" either, but I would like some ideas of books that are similar to these two, based on this common theme of being an outsider. Thanks! marauder7
"The Outsiders" "That was then, this is now" both by S.E. Hinton. Why don't you google 'Buildungsroman' and check the novels that fall into that category? Wikipedia may be a good start Reply
