asriraman
My ToK teacher has told us to come up with a knowledge issue for our presentations, and I came up with this question:Can art be standardized or judged objectively? Is this too broad? What can I do to improve it? Reply

Tony Stark
My ToK teacher has told us to come up with a knowledge issue for our presentations, and I came up with this question:Can art be standardized or judged objectively? Is this too broad? What can I do to improve it?It CAN work as your topic, however remember your topic should come from an initial real-life knowledge issue. Perhaps find a news article or something discussing a specific art award or something with controversy, and use that as the starting point.Someone in our cohort did something similar, however they did so with literature; ultimately the two would turn out near the same as they both deal with aesthetics (it's a field of philosophy). His was more implicit, however yours pretty much straight-out becomes subjectivism vs. objectivism in art, which can be done but is difficult without sufficient research.
