Dalia
I've just started my exam session and I still don't quite understand how the final grades are calculated. In math studies, if I'm expecting a 4 from the exams and I have a 3 in my IA then what will my final grade be? How does the 80% to 20% rule work? Thanks in advance. Peanut Butter Jelly
No one really knows. It changes from year to year. Some years the 'easy' exams have higher grade boundaries while other years, the 'hard' exam will have lower grade boundaries. You can, however, check the grade boundaries for 2011 to get an estimate. Basically, there's a scaling factor for the IA and the 2 Papers and then you add it up for a final grade. I don't have the grade boundaries though, they are somewhere on the web though.
