Smile44
From what you guys have been faced with and seen, are organic chemistry questions likely to show up on Section A of Paper 2 of the IB Chemistry SL exam?
The Economist
No, they usually are Section B (P2) questions worth more than 20 marks.
Smile44
No, they usually are Section B (P2) questions worth more than 20 marks.Have you EVER EVER EVER seen Organic chemistry as a question or subquestion in the section A? I don't want to run the chances but I also don't have the time to sit down and learn it. Do you know the reason behind it not being on Section A? The Economist
I looked at a few papers and I only saw Organic Chemistry exercises in section B. You will rarely see these questions in section A.(rarely/if ever)
Smile44
Do you think it will be safe to assume that organic chemistry won't appear on Section A?
The Economist
As a whole exercise? Yes, I doubt it. Maybe as a part of a bigger question but this will "cost" you no more than 3-4 marks. If you are not familiar with organic chem. and the paper is tomorrow, do not waste your time stressing over it now. It is certainly not going to help you. Relax and go do your best tomorrow. Smile44
Thank You! I know how to name the basics but I don't know much about the mechanisms and stuff. I'll read over it once and try to retain a little bit.
