miis0raaa
Hello, so I just have a quick question concerning World Lit ... Since I'm taking IB in Canada, I'm taking English A1, but my first language is actually German, therefore I decided to take German A1 Self-taught ... so basically I have two A1 languages and I was just wondering if I need to write a World Lit for both languages or just for English? Hope that question wasn't already asked LOL Thanks in advance, guys!! Reply
Tony Stark
Both; the IAs for each A1 language are completely independent of each other. Reply

Sandwich
Actually I think in the new Lit syllabus for 2013, you no longer have to do World Lits There's apparently some kind of single essay to replace them, but yeah still per subject. LMaxwell
I do A1 English. As Sandwich said, us 2013 candidates do only one piece of World Literature (as it used to be called). It's now called Works in Translation, I think. It's an analytical essay on a book you've studied in Part 1. It counts for 25% of your final grade. That is all.Hope this helped, brofessional 1 Reply
