Summer Glau
Hopefully your school or a school nearby will let you do retakes in November. I think one of the hardest things about doing retakes would be to find a school that would be willing to take you on.Yes you can do retakes even if you have a relatively high score. But of course it would be silly to retake if you got 45 points If you get a lower score on your retakes, the IB will let you keep the higher score you got previously. ChocolateDrop
Try going through clearing before doing retakes. You might find some interesting courses at pretty prestigious institutions, depending on your choice of subject. You could try ringing around and looking for spaces on your desired course, this year less people applied so it might,(might being the operative word), be easier. Universities like Nottingham are known to love IB kids. 1 Reply
mehul_k_shah
IB would allow you to keep your highest score if you do worse then the first attempt. SeeGeneral regulations:Diploma Programmehttp://www.ibo.org/documentlibrary/regs_ibworldschools/documents/DP_regs_en.pdfArticle 10: Registrationd. Retake: for previous IB diploma candidates who are seeking to improve on their results. The highestgrade obtained for a subject will contribute towards the IB diploma.
