Gee
So were taking 1984 in my English SL class, and we are required to do an IA on it. We haven't really analyzed it deeply, so we only know about the things that are obvious in the book. Our IA should be creative, like a letter to Big Brother or posters, and it should be about 900-1200 words long. Any ideas? What did you guys do for your IAs? aangel
Never had an IA like this and I haven't done the book for IB (read it though)... also I'm under the assumption this is a school based assessment. What about doing like a 'personal profile/permanent record' of yourself or a 'warrant of (elimination)/arrest' for yourself that the thought police might have kept. ALSO I think utilising the stylistic/dramatic devices in addition to references would be very important. Reply
Nabz
Never did anything like that on 1984 but what you can do is to write a journal entry maybe from Winston's POV and you can mention certain things from your own which involves your personal opinion but then you will have to justify that in rationale...
