howerabin
This is actually for a geo IA, but I have to analyze the properties of soil, so I guess it fits. For my geo IA, I want to answer the question "How is the quality of soil affected by the presence of major transportation routes in [my town], and what might this tell us about the town's sustainability?" The problem is that, although my teacher recommended this topic to me, everyone I talked to says it's illegal to stop at the side of a road, and collect soil samples. Is it really? Because if my teacher said I should do it, it shouldn't be THAT unethical. Reply
dniviE
Why would it be unethical? I mean, you are collecting soil which can't really affect anyone else much. Anyways, check the legalisation in your respective country (I am guessing Canada according to your flag; unless you've faked that) to see if it actually illegal or not.
