  1. 1. If given the choice, do you prefer to work alone, or in a group?

    • I prefer to work on my own and HATE working with others
    • I prefer to work on my own in general, but I can get by easily working with others...within reason
    • Either setting (alone or group) works for me.
    • I prefer to work in a group in general, but I can and do work alone when I have to
    • I prefer to work in a group, and HATE working on my own!

I chose the middle option because it heavily depends on the people who you are working with (like many have suggested). However, work load is severely reduced, and it can be a nice change once in a while.

Some classes in our school have draft systems to pick groups. Basically the teacher picks people to be leaders (often students with highest grades) who are extremely motivated to do well in the class, and they are responsible for "picking" their own groups. Kinda fun when your picked in the first few rounds, but it's just sad and brutal for the people in the last round.

I think that a few aspects of IB relate to your ability to interact well in a group environment, but personally i can struggle working in a group environment when i have to rely on other people for work completion, especially when it counts toward my mark. I think that communication and responsibility is vital in group situations, just to make sure your team mates dont screw you over
