WL1, comparative study

Recommended Posts

.. and now I have to find a completly new topic. She told us we could use any World Literature works in any part of the course, however now she has figured out that only the works in part 1 can be used for WL1. So this means I will have to work with "the Old Man and the Sea" by Hemingway although I really, really, don't want to. Well, I guess I'll have to live with that.

So, now, I'm forced to compare "the Old Man and the Sea" with "Pride and Prejudice". Personally I think the books are quite different from each other, so I have a hard time finding a relating aspect to compare. Do you guys have any suggestions? The only thing I can come up with is language, or maybe characterisation, but I want something more original.

I chose Elizabeht and Santiago - heroes in different ways. Do you guys think it will make a good comparative topic?
