artsy431
Hai~ This is my first post, I hope I make many more! I was just looking at classes and stuff, and then realized you need a theme in Visual Arts. So, I was wondering, would Astrology make an ok theme? Emmi
I don't think a theme is required per say, but it's really advantageous to have one. It gives you a unifying theme/cohesion to your work. Astrology should be fine to use, as long as you don't do really cliche things. IB likes surprises! But why are you worrying about this now? You're not even in high school yet! Go outside and run around and enjoy life Reply
Alpaca
You no longer need a theme in the IB. It is no longer a requirement. However, examiners prefer if your pieces are connected, and a theme can help you do that. In general your studio works tend to be around a common theme naturally, as one piece will lead to another and so on.If you feel like setting yourself a theme however, astrology sounds very exciting!
