Yahooo!
I was predicted an A in TOK, but I somehow managed to get a D. My presentation was marked as 16/20, so a B. My teacher marked my essay to be 32/40, which is an A. So I am incredibly shocked and disappointed. I would like to improve my TOK grade, and try and get a B- so I can have 1 extra bonus point (3 instead of 2). Would I have to re-do both the presentation and the essay, or can I just re-do the essay? Reply
TykeDragon
I don't know about retaking ToK, but you could try gambling £62 on the fact that the mark will change? Essentially, the IB will remark your ToK essay (for a £62 fee) and if the mark goes up or down by even one mark out of 40 (so not just up or down a whole grade) you'll get your money back. How confident are you another examiner would give you enough to get a B? (with your presentation score, about 21/40 needed)Also, I thought 16/20 in tok was a C, with 17-18 being a B? yii yann
Hi there, You can retake the essay alone, if you wish to do so. You don't have to re-do both essay and presentation. Reply
