IB Grade Boundaries May 2013

Yahooo!

Recommended Posts

My teachers claim they do not have the grade boundaries for May 2013, which it pretty much impossible... But anyway, can anyone be kind enough to give me the grade boundaries for Economics SL, History HL, Biology HL, Spanish ab initio, Maths Studies and English Lit A1 HL?

Hello, I am new here and to IB as well, as I'll start my first year of the programme in September.

What are grade boundaries, if I may ask? (:

It's the lowest and highest score that gives you a certain grade. Like if you're within the grade boundaries of a 6, then you'll get a 6. Lower than that, you get a 5; higher than that you get a 7.

Edit: If you want the erm maths term, the lower and upper bound for a particular grade.

Hey Guys,

I am in a fix and require some advice.

I completed my IB in May 2013 and I applied for Indian universities and specifically asked for a grade transcript with percentage equivalent scores.

I found it odd when for the following subjects I got much lower grade points than I am supposed to get.

Physics HL - 56% - 4

Chemistry HL - 61% - 4

Maths (Series and differential) HL - 37% - 2

English A: language and literature SL - 75% - 5

Hindi B SL - 74% - 5

ITGS SL - 86% - 6

I think I should get atleast a 7 in ITGS SL considering the fact that ITGS HL 7 is above 74%, and I doubt the other subjects are downgraded too!

Its kind of important so please help me out!
