hpfan
I'm doing my EE in music, and I was just wondering if this is a good topic:The accuracy of today's Sousa scores in relation to how Sousa himself performed his marches, with focus on El Capitan. Luka Petrovic
I dont think most people even know who Sousa is, nor do they know the Sousaphone, the instrument he designed exists. That seems really obscure, obscurity is good for EE's as teaching someone about Sousa is more effective than giving them another boring essay to mark about the Beatles. That being said, if its too obscure and your stuck on something, you will have difficulties... such as this. Reply
hpfan
Thank you for your advice! I don't think the relative obscurity of the composer should matter, though, as long as there is a sufficient musical analysis, right? Reply
