Math SL Exploration Guide?

Recommended Posts

Hi :)

I just started to plan my Maths Exploration and realized, that I have no guide or whatever to help me write it. For example, there is an Extended Essay Guide telling you what exactly you have to include (e.g. abstract), in what sequence, etc. Does anyone know if such a guide exists for Maths? Or is there any other way to get to such information?

hey, for the structure you could check out sample IAs.. even though there are mainly portfolios with other stuff and not explorations. it could still give you an idea.. if you get some great info on this also let me know please.. because even i just started..

what's your topic ? out of all the subjects i'm finding this the most difficult :dontgetit:

I also tried that but somehow it doesn't help that much. But if I find something I'll let you know, of course.

I'm comparing the flood hydrograph of the floods that hit my country in 2013 and 2002 and things - it's complicated. It also took me sooo long to find a topic, I just hate that thing!! What's yours about?

okay, thanks.. doesn't your supervisor help you with this stuff ?

i'm creating my own casino game and then i'll make a question related to that.. some intense stuff! its all probability..

whoa! i don't even know what a hydrograph is :P why don't you work on something simpler, or you picked this because you're good at it ?

I am in the same situation as you guys!
My supervisor has no clue about it, he gave us a sample of a project but it was not even correct, the content was not structured.

I agree with Mishi the exploration is very similar to a portfolio

well, it's not too difficult, it's just calculating things about the height of the flood waters and so on :)

hey, i was looking for some info on this and i found some stuff.. you guys must have seen this material but in case you didn't.. i'll paste the links below.. one of them has various samples.. my teacher actually sent them to me before but i didn't know how many marks each one got.. there's one which scored maximum points so you could go through that and get an idea..
