Nernst
Hey, I'm new here and I've been struggling finding a good topic for a desgin lab in chemistry. I need to do one in electrochemistry, but it also has to be doable. I was thinking in voltaic cells but I could also do an electrolytic cell. I need help please. What factor can I change? Emmi
Have you considered an experiment where you change the concentrations of your voltaic/electrolytic cells? That's pretty easy to control and is very doable, as you just dilute whatever solution you have to what you need. Perhaps run a current through a 0.1M, 0.5M, 1.0M, 1.5M. and 2.0M solution and see how that affects what you want to measure? Reply
sarah:)
For the electrolytic cell, you can also change the voltage or the current (using a resistor) (in Amps) at (0.5, 0.8, 1.10, 1.40, 1.70, 2.00). From memory, I think you can also change the distance between the two half cells for a galvanic cell. Reply
