Loganator
Alright, so after 5 hours of grueling research, an interesting idea sparked me (in terms of organic chem):I'm planning to do something innvolving Ultraviolet/Infrared light on the yield of nucleophilic substition mechanisms of halogenoalkanes with sodium hydroxide, (could this be determined by UV spectrometry? this would be super cool, i think) Or maybe using thin layer chromatography?Let me know what you fellow IBs think Reply
IBKID4lyf
this sounds quite interesting but do you have all the equipment needed to carry it out? Reply
Loganator
I actually changed it, since UV light can potentially destroy these photosensitive chemicals. But yeah I do, I have access to a University lab that my supervisor contacted. I'm just worried, would anything to do with aspirin and stuff be an over-done topic for the EE?
