emantse Posted September 1, 2013 Report Share Posted September 1, 2013 Hi I have a bunch of questions about word counts.I'm doing my EE on geography and I have a few questions that are subject-specific and also some general questions.General Questions1) Does the title page + table of contents count towards your total word count?2) Do the heading titles count (aka Introduction, Aims, etc)Geo-specific1) Do the explanations for the surveys count (justification for why I asked the things I did on my questionnaire etc)2) Do data tables count (numerical values and words)3) Do the data tables/maps/pictures titles count?4) Are picture captions/annotations includedAnd while I'm at it, I'll ask for another friend who is doing a Business EE1) Does the research proposal count towards the word count?Thank you so much in advance! 1 Reply Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
mm8888 Posted September 1, 2013 Report Share Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) The word count includes the body and does not include • the abstract• acknowledgments• the contents page• maps, charts, diagrams, annotated illustrations and tables• equations, formulas and calculations• citations/references (whether parenthetical or numbered)• footnotes or endnotes• the bibliography• appendices.
