Arrowhead
Try doing some research on the Australian government's website designed precisely to answer these basic questions. http://www.studyinaustralia.gov.au/ Reply
khimberleigh
Applications are open from August to around the 20th of September each year. Which state are you looking at going to? If you're wanting to go to Victoria then check out the VCAA website, I'm not too sure about the other states but Arrowhead's link might have more information.IB is a lot less common in Australia than other countries and it's seen as a more advanced option so any IB score above 30 should get you into a decent course, and score above 40 will get you into very good courses and any score above 42 will get you into all (non-scholarship) courses. If you want to know about specific courses I'd recommend going to the actual University's website. 1 Reply
flinquinnster
With my limited judgement and experience, I would say that Australian universities are probably the easiest to apply for. Basically, you need to register for your relevant state's university application website (for instance, VTAC is for Victoria, UAC is for NSW/ACT), put in some basic details, and then put in your preferences. For most subjects, you will get in if you reach a certain ATAR - look online for ATAR-IB conversions. And yeah, IB is converted generously by universities as mentioned by khimberleigh's useful post, so the hard work in the IB compared to other state courses does pay off... Or so I hope. Guest Vien Ton
thanks and im just wondering whats the limit to the number of undergraduate courses you can take? Reply
khimberleigh
Some Universities offer double degrees, so two is the limit at one time. Reply
