Guest
Hello! I would like to post an exam question and hope that someone could help! The question:A coil of wire has a large number of turns. It is moved relative to a fixed magnetic field. The emf generated will be equal to thea) rate of change of magnetic flux linkageb) rate of change of magnetic flux through the coil. (other options are irrelevant) The correct answer is a but i have no clue of what is the difference between a and b? Could you please explain? HiggsHunter
The emf generated is equal to the rate of change of the magnetic flux through the coil multiplied by the number of turns in the coil, which is the rate of change of the magnetic flux linkage. (Answer a) Reply
