oonawong238
Today I finally got to talk to my counselor, and she won't let me take HL Music Theory because I'm not as involved in music as she would like. So my options right now are basically HL Computer Science or HL Art. I'm so-so at science and math, and I'm not good at memorization. I feel like HL Art would be something that I'm good at, but I don't know if it would look bad to colleges because I haven't done anything art-related in high school and I don't plan on majoring in art at university. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Reply
IBidiot
Some colleges might ask why you took art, but I take Art HL just because I like it (even though it is an insane amount of work!), not because I am doing anything with it in college. If anything, it might show diversity, which could help in your applications. Do you know what you want to study in college. Looking up a university's requirements could help you decide on what you might need. Reply
Guest
When choosing an HL class, you really want it to be something that you enjoy since it will be what what you spend most of your time on. If Computer Science HL isn't of interest to you, you should go for Art HL! Colleges like to see creativity and it could even set you apart! Otherwise, Computer Science is very relevant in today's society and could be a really helpful class! Best of luck to you! Reply
