Hey!

I have a few friends taking computer science Hl. But personally I am taking chem hl. It really depends on your interest and what you are aiming to do later on in life. If you want to go into the computer field, I would take computer science, but if its more medicine and engineering chem could work aswell.

Thanks for that, thats quite helpful. For a physics based career what would you recommend? Its for this reason that im quite stuck. What do you think would be the most helpful for such a career.

Also whats the difficulty like for Chem HL and Computer Science HL. Are they the same difficulty?

Thanks again for the help! :)

You should check with the universities you're aiming for, what the subject requirements for the course you're contemplating on. If there's no specified requirements choose the one which interests you the most or whatever you think you'll do better in.

For a straight up physics course, sometimes maths HL is recommended/ compulsory.

"Difficulty" is often subjective and could depend on a number of factors such as, how good your teacher/ school is at teaching the subject, whether you're naturally good at it, commitment to subject etc.

I'm doing HL computer science and i've never studied computers before, I'm doing well now but I think I can do even better if I revise more, it's not that difficult if you're interested in coding etc, practical is fun :) although there's a lot to learn in theory

I would totally advise you math HL and physics HL. (you haven't written if you've taken them)

CS vs chem - my school does not offen cs, but my classmates find chem pretty easy. The choice really depends if you are more into chemical/medical/bioengineering or more into mechanical/electrical/civil/areorspace/computer. If you are a 'math person' , I think you shouldn't have difficulties with any of them.
