6hikaru6
I have a biology EE and am interested in ecology, but I don't know any experiments I could carry out for it.... Reply
rockpapertash
As much as some of us would like to, we can't just give you ideas for your EE here on IBS. We can give you some guidance and feedback on your ideas, but we can't spoon feed them to you. What areas of ecology are you particularly interested in? Is there something in your local area you've noticed lately? Or perhaps do you have some ideas for a research-based EE rather than an experimental one?Let us know what some of your ideas are first and then we can help you 1 Reply
alefal
Hey there!.. And we cannot tell you what experiments you should do. That'd be in the violation of the forum rules. You need to prove that you have thought about the topic and done some progress already before anyone can help you. Do some research beyond the textbook on ecology and figure out exactly what elements of aspects that attracts you, and design a experiment related to one of these aspects. If you struggle with the design part of the report, then talk to your EE supervisor / biology teacher, and go from there. If that fails, then you might want to either change your approach or pick another aspect of ecology. Tip: Check out the Environmental Systems and Societies syllabus, the subject does cover quite a lot of ecology-related topics. It could help you orientate yourself. Good luck!EDIT: Seems like rockpapertash beat me to it.. Reply

alefal
We still can't really tell you what to do. We can only provide feedback on your plans, so if you want to get something out of this, you need to figure out how you want to design the experiment, and then you can ask us whether or not that is a good idea or not. If you use an experiment another member proposes, that will imply that you plagiarise, which will result in the withdrawal of the diploma. That is not something you or anyone else want to happen.
