Jeffrey Zhou
Hi, I am planning to take all 3 sciences HL, and I was wondering which textbooks would be best. I'm thinking either the Oxford or the Pearson Baccalaureate.Thoughts? Reply
Zostale
Chemistry HL : Pearson is the best. An Oxford study guide would help in the last few months.Physics HL : Tsokos is an all time favorite. It prepares you much better.I'm not aware about Biology 1 Reply

r1111
For Physics I would recommend the Pearson Baccalaureate Book over the Oxford book (I have used both). I have not used the Tsokos book ((I think that's the Cambridge one). Also I highly recommend you get the Orange Physics study guide and use some of the IB Physics Youtube videos by different teachers as an extra resource. Good Luck Reply

Rigel
Chemistry: Pearson without a doubt, Study Guide for some hard topics (especially Bonding, Kinetics, Acids and Bases). The course companion is pretty meh, so I wouldn't recommend it to you.Physics: Pearson is nice but there are some topics which aren't dealt with in great depth (however the way everything is organized in the Pearson bacc books is close to perfect). Get the Study Guide for sure, and get Tsokos to reinforce some hard concepts. Reply
