m.k.2015
Hello everyone, So I got this question in my Math HL class and I really cannot do it! Can anyone help me please ..John's sock drawer had 17 blue socks, 11 yellow, 9 orange, 34 green, and 2 brown, not sorted by color. The light bulb has been burned out. John cannot see what color the socks are. How many socks does John have to take to be sure he has at least two socks of the same color? Explain your answerThanks Reply
Award Winning Boss
Right right right... I'm not a HL maths student. I just like logic puzzles. My first instinct is 6. If you take out 5 and they're just one of each colour, the next colour you take out will match with one of them. Does that make sense? 1 Reply
m.k.2015
hahaha OMG I actually cannot believe it is that simple. Sometimes you just get overwhelmed by Math Hl that you cannot think simple anymore. Thanks Reply
