Emmanuel Scur
Hello guys! I decided to do my EE on Spanish. My research question is: To what extent do Spanish people appreciate the Arabian legacy in Spain? I wanted to do something based on the Arabian legacy in Spain because their legacy was huge! They brought to Spain some innovations in architecture, gastronomy, agriculture... To sum it up, their legacy is huge! So I was thinking about interviewing some Spanish people I know and I ask them what they think about Arabian people in their country nowadays. As you may know, hundreds of years ago the Catholic Church condemned many religions and almost exterminated the Arabian population in Spain, so I thought this would be an interesting topic. What do you guys think? Is it a good research question/idea? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks! Reply
MainRostand
Umm what Spanish course are you taking? In my opinion, this topic is too history-like to fit exactly into the language part of Spanish. Maybe you could research a little bit into how it affected the language? I think that would be viable and good for an EE. Reply
Emmanuel Scur
Hello! I am taking IB Spanish HL. I have taken a look at the EE guide and there's a category that fits my topic I think. There's one that says we can research how a historic event has affected the culture and the society of a hispanic country. However, I liked your idea. So do you suggest I talk about how the Arabian invasion in Spain has affected directly the language? And thanks for your help! Reply
