Knight
Ok so here is the deal. I consider myself a futurist and I am wildly passionate about these two specific fields. The problem is i don't know how i can pursue these fields when I go to college. Any specific subjects required? What major should i consider doing in college? Sofia.
The fields sure are interesting! I don't actually know much about them, but to me it seems like astronomy/natural sciences/computer science would be good majors. For those majors, I'm guessing maths, natural sciences, computer science, technology should be good subjects, but honestly don't take my word for it Haven't you already chosen your subjects though? Sofia.
Okay then I get it I think your subjects are fine, especially for US unis. I don't think there is a major for only those fields, but I might be wrong. You'd probably have to study something science-y and then specialize But don't take my word for it - look around! If you know where you want to study, check what majors are available. If not, just browse through a couple of unis you might be interested in ^^ Try googling Edited September 3, 2014 by Sofia Karlsson 1 Reply
Sandwich
Engineering might be a good bet. If by extra-terrestrial life you mean designing rockets and space craft! There's also the robot-y side of engineering which would cover AI. Generally they like Maths and Physics for engineering so you're looking all sorted 1 Reply
Knight
@Sandwich, can i do both aerospace engineering and AI at undergrad at the same time? Reply
Sandwich
Absolutely no idea. The kind of information you're looking at would involve looking up courses at individual Universities in whichever country you want to study. If you want to know you should investigate. 1 Reply
