Guest PotassiumBro
If not, what would you say is the quickest time that a person can complete the entire IB Diploma? Reply
ibsurvivor92
If you think you can do 150 hours of CAS, An Extended Essay, Multiple IA's, TOK, and end of the year tests, by all means. Thrashmaster
3 months for everything? Some countries in Europe give their students a month off before the IB Exams to study. I think that's evidence enough that the schools believe the nearly 2 years of study still need a month of individual review. If you think you can do it all in 3 months... Well, you didn't say what scores you wanted. I'm sure there are people out there who had enough previous knowledge to be diploma worthy for the final exams, with an average of 4 on each. But like like IBsurvivor said, you don't have time to just study. You'd have ToK essay and presentation, all of your CAS, the EE, Group 4 Project (assuming others are ready to work with you during those 4 months), and lots and lots of IAs. That's a lot for anyone. I'd say a committed genius with a supportive school could probably get it done in a single year with fairly high scores. It all depends on the person. 2 Reply
IBProcrastinator
I don't understand why you would even want to do the IB Diploma in 3 months... I am also unsure if thats even possible, I believe in order to achieve the diploma you need complete the full 2 year programme. Reply
Sofia.
Nope. It's two years for a reason. We even get an extra, "pre-IB" year in Sweden to prepare. You might be able to complete it in one and a half years or so, but why would you want to? Reply
