tired
Hi guys, So I have to basically come up with a rough IA outline by next Tuesday and I was wondering if anybody could offer some suggestions for me as I am kind of lost. I want to do something sports related as I'm very passionate about athletics. As well, can someone help me clarify how exactly to find relevant information regarding the topic of IA. Thanks! Guest Sonia
First thing that came in my mind is probability of scoring from different distances or sth like that. And since you love sports, that involves you actually doing it... But anyway, that was just an idea. This is to give you some ideas: http://ibmathsresources.com/maths-ia-maths-exploration-topics/ And your book will have some info at the very end, if I'm not wrong Reply
Excalibre
Statistics and Probability! This is definitely a good topic area for sports like football or basketball, since you have access to lots of quantitative data (LOTS) that is perfect for graphing and bivariate analysis. Also have a look at the following link for further ideas: http://www.dpcdsb.org/NR/rdonlyres/FE43C622-9FA0-4385-8E19-0C539513295E/133918/ListofPotentialTopicsfortheExploration1.pdf But supersonic's link is much better as it also has brief explanations for each topic/idea, so I'd recommend reading that one first. 1 Reply
