Guest nicole
Our school doesnt have HL, and there are only eleven Year 1 IBs, so were all in the same class. I don't like that it's relatively small, though. About 3/4 of the class is super good at math, while there are a couple of us that are more into social sciences. It's hard, being at the bottom of the class, even if you're not doing bad. Does that make sense? Reply
ezex
well, we have about 130 people, juniors and seniors, in Math SL and another 200, juniors and seniors, in math studies. The smallest class in our school has 15 people and its our calculus BC class, all guys, 12 seniors and 3 juniors. I LOVE small classes but all our classes are so big...and we don't have math HL in our school because the only one certified to teach it says she rather teach calculus 3 other than Math HL. Forester
We have 3 HL classes with 20 in each class. I'm in the toughest class where 40% are predicted 7s.... Reply

Guest BQ89
we have 60 IBers, and I think there are at least 40 of us are doing math, our school only offer sL for some reasons Reply

Guest riabm
So there are 2 people in the Maths HL class, and 5 in the Maths SL class. Only 7 doing the IB dip while one doing certs.Don't you prefer smaller classes? Makes it so much better, however, the other girl in my class has been absent for a few weeks, so the class gets ever so boring.there are only 7 students in my math class. i prefer the small class honestly. Ive been in big math classes, and you learn so much easier when there is more one on one time with the teacher. Reply

Guest chocomaniac
Wow. You're classes are tiny. At my school almost all ib students are required to take mathematics sl so there's about 30 kids in class and about 150 total taking the class, give or take. I wish my school had more individualized classrooms. Reply

chileanbob
I know my friend at Boyd Anderson High school had like 8 kids with him in his trig class last year; still, my other friend has about ten in her math methods class. Unfortunately, my class is somewhat big and distracting =\ Reply
